Ballade for horn

Composer Roger Steptoe was inspired to write a Ballade (c. 10’) for horn and orchestra (2 oboes, 2 horns, percussion). A first reading of the work was organized by Editions Bim in February 2010 featuring horn soloist, Bruno Schneider.

A definitely modern piece, however beautifully lyrical with its harmonies perfectly adapted to the romantic sound of the horn. The orchestration and the piano reduction are currently being completed. Release is forseen for September 2010, first perfromance to be set.
