Danse Igor!

The work for brass quintet by Thomas Stevens, Igor’s Dance has been recorded by students of Edward Carroll at the Schulich School of Music, McGill University (Montreal): Scott Reynolds and Ryan Cole (trumpet), Xavier Fortin (horn), Keith Dyrda (trombone) and Douglas Sutton (tuba).

Excellent recording of a piece with numerous musical refernces to Stravinsky’s works, and which, in view of its short duration (1’20) and dynamism, is an obviously spectacular ` interlude or encore piece in a concert program.
