About this Work

Sonatine I for solo viola was commissioned by the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and used as a test piece in the 2010 competition with funds provided by the Tertis Foundation. The composer is deeply grateful to the eminent British viola player, Sarah-Jane Bradley, for her help in editing this work for publication.
