Details

The Nocturne for trumpet and strings (1994 - BIM TP57b/c), and the later versions for trumpet and organ (2003 - BIM TP57d), or trumpet and piano (2010 - BIM TP57a) is one of a series of Nocturnes written for the different brass instruments (horn - BIM CO16, trombone - BIM TB26, and tuba - BIM TU105).

It is a reflective and brooding sort of piece, at times dark and dramatic, and at other times positive and almost spiritual.

Anthony Plog, August 2010, Freiburg i. Br. Germany
