Born 1949 in St. Gallen (Switzerland), Kurt Sturzenegger studied trombone, piano and musical theory at the Geneva Conservatory. He is bass trombone at the Suisse Romande Orchestra and professor of counterpoint and chamber music at the Geneva Conservatoire.
