The title, which translates as “to shout for joy’, reflects the generally celebratory mood of this short “mini-overture”. The work opens with a solemn “fanfare” by the solo trumpet. This theme, based on a tune appropriate to the occasion, is then taken up by the horns and the rest of the orchestra in a fanfare of celebration. This gives way to jubilant new musical material...
