Paulo Perfeito, born 1974 in Porto (Portugal) is Bachelor of Music 2001, Summa Cum Laude at the Berklee College of Music, Boston, USA. He begun his musical studies in 1992 at the Conservatório de Musica do Porto. Leader of the 6teto Paulo Perfeito, he is an active trombonist, composer, arranger, conductor and professor and participates in countless projects and recordings.
He received the 2001 Herb Pomeroy Award for Outstanding Jazz Composer and Arranger as well as the Jovens Criadores award from the Centro Nacional de Cultura on 2000 and 2001.
Since 2003, Paulo Perfeito is teaching Analysis, Arranging and Composition at the Jazz department of the Escola Superior de Musica e Artes do Espectáculo do Porto.
His music is played worldwide in many festivals and events.
