Albin Hovorka (1831-1890)
Born in 1831 in Milcín, Albin Horvorka attended the Prague Conservatory from 1846 to 1852, studying trumpet and trombone with Josef Kail (1795-1871) and composition with Johann Fr. Kittl (1806-1868). He frequently performed as a soloist on trombone. His Concertino for trombone and orchestra was written in 1883. Albín Hovorka passed away in Prague in 1890. Read more
