Cyril James Squire (*1931)
Born in Paris in 1931, Cyril Squire studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and won several First prizes, in particular those for piano and compositions. His teachers were, amongst others, Vlado Perlemuter, Tony Aubin and Nadia Boulanger.

About Aubade
The Work
October 15, 1985 French trumpet player Roger Delmotte played the premiere of Aubade, accompanied by the composer on the carillon of the International Watch Museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. This piece for trumpet and carillon (or marimba) was especially written for this occasion during the Jura Art Weeks.
