Anthony Plog was born on November 13th, 1947 in Glendale, California. He received his music degree from UCLA (University of California Los Angeles). About Double Concerto 2014

The Work

The use of antiphonal strings with one group with the trumpet and the other with the trombone gives so many possibilities, not usual in a piece featuring soloists. This concept comes directly from the father of brass writing, by the venitian master Giovanni Gabrieli.
