All the delicat, sensitive but strong musical art of Caroline Charrière is synergised in these two highly poetic master pieces.

About Undine et Ondine

The undines, whose name derives from the Latin word unda [wave], are water nymphs in Germanic or Alsatian mythology. This work for women choir (Soprani 1 & 2, Alti 1 & 2), flute and harp has two distinct movements:

Undine [Mermaid] on a german text by poet Otto Baisch (1840-1892) and Ondine only on onomatopoeia “nou”).

The very lyrical flute part requests an instrument in G and in C, the harp plays an essential role within the deep and dreamy dramaturgy of this work.
